We need a wide gate for trucks. How wide can you go?
Wide enough for a tractor trailer if that is what the site needs. Beyond a certain span a swing gate becomes unwieldy and a cantilever slide gate makes more sense, especially where there is no room for a leaf to swing clear. We will look at the approach angle, the grade at the opening, and the turning room before recommending one.
Does being close to the airport change anything about a residential fence?
Not structurally. What it changes is what people want the fence to do. Homes along this corridor sit near busy roads and a fair amount of traffic noise, so a solid privacy fence gets asked for more often here than an open ornamental line.
