Jamestown is small, old, and squarely between two much larger cities, and it has managed to stay recognizably itself through all the growth around it. The result is a town where the housing runs from genuinely historic homes near Main Street to established mid-century streets to newer subdivisions on the edges, and where neighbors tend to notice what goes up in a backyard.
